Internet Users Can Now View Pikes Peak by Connecting to Softronics' Pikes Peak Cam™ Web Page.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Internet surfers can now get a spectacular view of one of the world's most famous mountains, Pikes Peak, by connecting to Softronics' World Wide Web page. The Pikes Peak Cam™ can be accessed on the World Wide Web at http://www.softronics.com. The view of Pikes Peak and surrounding foothills is breath-taking. The picture is updated every two minutes so viewers can see storms come and go or sunrise color the mountain. The view presented by the Pikes Peak Cam™ is clear and unobstructed by any man-made objects.

The Pikes Peak Cam™ is mounted to the roof of Softronics' headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado. From Softronics, the summit is approximately 20 miles away. The Pikes Peak Cam™ is always running, so views of Pikes Peak at night result in a black picture. Best viewing time for the Pikes Peak Cam™ is from sunrise to noon (Mountain Time). Sunrise occurs sometime between 5:00 am and 7:00 am depending upon the time of the year. In the Spring and Fall, some of the most magnificent sunsets ever seen surround Pikes Peak. Because the Pikes Peak Cam™ faces due west, the picture can be washed-out because of glare in the late afternoon.
